Welcome to Harvest Christian Church. We are a non-denominational Christian church that has been in the City of Detroit for 80 years. We are located on West 7 Mile Road, 2 blocks west of Telegraph Road.

Our Pastor, Bob King, has been the Pastor for 30 of those 80 years. Over the past 80 years we have seen many generations come and go and we are so proud of them for what they have accomplished. We sponsor missionaries all over the world, and even have part of the King family doing amazing work in many continents. We hope you find Harvest to be a welcoming Godly environment for you and your family.

What We Believe

  • We believe the Holy Bible is the inspired Word of God. (II Timothy 3:16; II Peter 1:21)
  • We believe that Jesus Christ was God in human form. (John 1:1; Colossians 2:9; I Timothy 3:16)
  • The one true God, self existent maker of all things has revealed Himself in three persons--Father, Son and Holy Spirit, coequal, co-eternal and one in substance. (Colossians 2:9; Genesis 1:16; I John 5:6-8, John 14:23-26)
  • We believe in the pre-eminence and power of the Name Jesus, when it designate our Lord Jesus Christ, including its variations in different languages. (Ephesians 1:21; Philippians 2:9,10; Hebrews 1:4)
  • We believe in water baptism, by immersion, in the Name of Jesus Christ. (Acts 2:38; 8:12,16; 10:48; 19:5)
  • We believe in divine healing. (Psalms 103:3; Mark 16:17,18; I Corinthians 12:9,28; James 5:13-16)
  • We believe in the dedication of infants. (Matthew 19:13-15; Mark 10:13-16; Luke 18:15-17)
  • We believe in the gift of the Holy Ghost and in the baptism in the Holy Ghost. (Acts 2:38; 1:8; 2:4; 5:32 8:17; 9:17; 10:44-46; 19:6)
  • We believe and teach that offices and gifts set forth in I Corinthians 12:28 are available to, and intended for, use by present day believers. We believe in the efficacy of laying on of hands for:
    • Impartation of spiritual gifts. (Deuteronomy 34:9; Acts 8:17; 19:6; I Timothy 4:14; II Timothy 1:6)
    • Confirmation of believer's calling. (Numbers 27:18; Acts 6:6; Hebrews 6:2)
    • The exercise of prayer and healing gifts, in the healing ministry. (Mark 16:18; Acts 9:12; 14:3; 28:8)
  

Apostles Bob & Linda King

For over 30 years, Bob King, a graduate of Rhema Bible Training Center, has served as Senior Apostle of Harvest Christian Church in Detroit, Michigan. Linda, a graduate of Alpha & Omega Ministry Training Institute, pastors along side her husband, together leading a multi-ethnic congregation. As Apostles with a strong prophetic anointing, they are committed to helping the body of Christ come to His ordained order, empowered and motivated to bring His purposes to fulfillment. Through teaching of the Word and by example, they encourage others to walk confidently and faithfully in their place of influence.

Apostles Bob & Linda KingIn addition to leadership in their own church, Bob and Linda minister at area churches and conferences. Through unity in prayer and fellowship with many area Pastors, Bob has been instrumental in establishing a regional House of Prayer – a place where worship and intercession go forth on a 24-hour basis.

Bob and Linda have been married 39 years and have four children. Two daughters serve with their husbands as Youth Pastors at two different Detroit area churches. Another daughter and her husband currently reside in Florida. Their son and his wife, serves as Youth Pastor at a church just north of Detroit. The Kings also greatly enjoy having fifteen grandchildren.
